540) Productions is proud to present Alan Bennett's 2006 Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning play "The History Boys." The shows will be performed at Lylburn Downing Community Center, located at 300 Diamond Street in Lexington, Virginia. Follow a group of male students in 1980's England as they seek entrance into Oxford and Cambridge, acquiring lessons on life, love, and the art of learning from a beloved, longstanding professor and his rival--the school's sensational new tutor. The male cast of current and former W&L and SVU students is joined by seasoned local veterans Linda Gorman, Mark Daughtery, and Larry Evans, and is directed by locally born Lesley Larsen Nesbit.
