Music by Marvin Laird with the book and lyrics by Joel Paley.Journey through unexpected twists and turns in the rise and fall of an 8-year-old diva as she seeks stardom by (literally) "killing 'em" on the stage while feuding with her boring-housewife-turned-megastar mother. This hilarious comedy is an homage and send-up of great theatrical and movie hits such as "The Bad Seed," "All About Eve" and "Gypsy" and examines how mother and daughter relationships can become deadly close. The cast features Rockbridge County High School student Emma Altenburg as the fame-possessed child, community members Ashley Latta and Nancy Johnston as her mother and dour critic grandmother, local actor Amy Oblinger as her scheming agent, Stuarts Draft High School student Julia Bussey as her primary nemesis, and W&L students Chancey Baker, Madeline Sullivan, and Grace Vianney in various roles. All are directed by Stuarts Draft High School theatre director Amy Neal Bussey.
