Andrei Illarionov--Former Economic Adviser to Vladimir Putin

On Monday, October 27, at 7:00 pm, Andrei Illarionov, Senior Fellow at the Center for Global Liberty and the Prosperity at the Cato Institute will give a lecture entitled “Russian-Ukrainian War” in Northen Auditorium on the campus of Washington and Lee University.

This event is sponsored by the Russian Area Studies Program, University Lectures Fund, and special thanks to the Pusey Fund. Admission is free and open to the public.

Andrei Illarionov was appointed economic and policy adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2000 and resigned his position in 2005, after conflicting with President Putin over the economic direction of the country.

Illarionov has coauthored several economic programs for Russian governments and has written three books and more than 300 articles on Russian economic and social policies.
