Best Practices when Applying for Financial Aid

Human Resources is pleased to offer Best Practices when Applying for Financial Aid, an informational session for employees with children heading off to college within the next year or so. The session is on Wednesday, October 22, from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM in the Hillel Multipurpose Room.

In this session, Jim Kaster, Director of Financial Aid at W&L, will present a best practice discussion with regards to W&L employee financial aid options and college expense. The presentation will review the overall financial aid application process and some specific W&L benefits such as the ACS program and employee tuition benefit program. The focus will be on realistic expectations and preparation, deadlines and recognizing the requirements for scholarships and grants, understanding what financial aid administrators look for when awarding aid, and how you can maximize your financial aid through appeal.
