Mindful Eating

December 9, 2014

Northen Auditorium, Leyburn Library

Nicole Poulin

Mindful eating is a powerful tool for developing healthier, happier eating habits. It strengthens the connection between the mind and the body and gives you the ability to assess hunger and fullness. You can then choose how you will respond to common mindless eating triggers instead of reacting carelessly. This session will cover the 4 steps to basic mindful eating including: Arriving at food, Awakening to the food, Tuning in to the body, and Service with food. Mindful eating empowers you to break your automatic, unrecognized reactions that may be holding you back from healthier eating and helps you discover options that work best for you.
