The Nashua River is a 37.5 mile long tributary of the Merrimack River in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. In the 1960’s it was declared one of the 10 most polluted rivers in the U.S. It is now a clean and healthy environment for people and wildlife. Marion Stoddart became a citizen leader, working to clean up the Nashua and committed to a lifetime of grassroots organizing and coalition building.
