Lecture by the Author of "The Misfit Economy" Alexa Clay

Alexa Clay, a storyteller and researcher of underground subcultures, will speak at Washington & Lee University on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 5 p.m., in Northen Auditorium as the Fishback Visiting Writers Fund speaker for this academic year. A graduate of Brown University and Oxford University, she is co-author of the new book The Misfit Economy: Lessons in Creativity from Pirates, Hackers, Gangsters, and Other Informal Entrepreneurs. Her talk, “The Art of Being an Outsider,” is free and open to the public. A booksigning will follow.
