Envision the James Workshop

December 11, 2012

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Lynchburg

Chris Wise

The James River Association and the Chesapeake Conservancy will hold an Envision the James Workshop where citizens help define goals for the future of the James River. This initiative seeks to achieve a shared vision and on-going commitments from communities and partners throughout the James River Basin to value, sustain, and enhance the region’s natural and cultural heritage, local economies, wildlife abundance, and outdoor recreation assets for present and future generations. You can visit envisionthejames.org for more information on the effort thus far. This meeting will help identify and refine alternative concepts within our four core focus areas: heritage and geo-tourism, recreation and river access, conservation and restoration, and wildlife habitat. An important emphasis of these workshops will be to identify collaborative regional projects. Please RSVP to Gabe Silver at gsilver@jrava.org by Friday, November 30th to let us know if you will be able to attend.
