Environmental historian Paul Sutter will present a lecture and lead a hike at Ivey creek Natural Area near Charlottesville. He will give a talk based on his newest book on soils and soil erosion of the South: Let Us Now Praise Famous Gullies: Georgia’s “Little Grand Canyon” and Southern Environmental History. Presented as part of the Virginia Environmental Writer Series (ViEWS) at the Brown College of the University of Virginia.
