Join the renowned W&L University Singers on Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. in the Wilson Concert Hall as they return home from their February tour of Texas with an evening of a cappella choral mastery. The tour will include the Lexington premiere of a new choral work by Shane Lynch, "Desert Rain." After feature performances in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston and more, hear the Singers perform double choir motets by Mendelssohn, Martin, Holst, and Thompson; journey through the "Shadows of Dawn" with uplifting music by Lynch, Morricone, and ChoralFest 2014 honoree Eric Barnum; spend time in the ether with the music of modern choral masters like Ešenvalds and Forrest; and close with hymns, folk songs, and spirituals that are always audience favorites.
